# Look up a sender name

```

Returns a sender name available to the account (shared or approved for it). New names are requested in the portal (Sender names → request a new name) with a business certificate and an ID document; answered within one business day. Sending from phone numbers is not available.

**Authentication:** `Authorization: Bearer bm_live_…` · **Required scope:** `sms:send`
